One of the duties of the Budget Division is to help state departments and agencies prepare their annual budgets. (Alabama Government Manual, Sixth Edition). These records are photocopies of proposed budgets sent to the Department of Education by local school boards. At one time, they were submitted as backup to the Budget Request Packets (S-9-46). Information in these records includes anticipated revenues by source, and anticipated expenditures by program. These records are no longer submitted to the Budget Division by the Department of Education.
